GSI Forester is a comprehensive Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) software solution that is easily configurable to support the business processes of electric utility companies. Forester streamlines and automates UVM work processes using a GIS-based software system and features both a Web Portal and Field Mobile application. Forester is hosted on Microsoft Azure to ensure easy access to your data and an effortless updating process that gives users access to the newest features upon release.

Forester’s Field Mobile application has been designed to work in a disconnected environment and is available on iOS, Android and Windows devices. When field crews utilize the Field Mobile application, that data is stored locally on the device until synchronized with the database in the office.

Yes; Protection of customer data and security are of the upmost importance with the Forester program. All of our development teams are U.S. based and operate in PA, WA, and TX.

Forester is adaptable to most programs, including noncyclical vegetation management programs, and is flexible enough to meet each utility company’s specific needs.

Managers/foresters utilize the web-based portal in the office to create and track work and assign it to contractors in the field. Preplanners and tree crews use the field mobile application to execute and document work in the field. Directors and executives can visualize metrics through both reporting and live dashboards.

Forester can integrate with the utility company’s GIS, WMS, CIS and OMS. It can also integrate with tax assessor databases.

Yes, we design reports to the client’s requirement and provide a built-in dashboard that will display designated KPIs.

Yes, Forester supports time and equipment entry through the Field Mobile app and is capable of reverse invoicing to contractors as well as integrations with account payable systems.

Yes, Forester is highly configurable to the utility’s needs and provides the capability for Vegetation Management personnel to make additions or changes on the fly without the need for IT support or GSI assistance.

Yes, Forester is flexible enough to work with most types of Vegetation Management programs.

Yes, we ingest advanced analytics into Forester to autocreate work packets based on that analysis that can be sent into the field for work execution.
